Sustainable Printing
Sustainable printing is usually more expensive than traditional printing. But is it really? In traditional printing, hidden environmental costs don’t get passed on to the customer. Yet someone, or something, pays the price.
Because we understand sustainable printing may not be feasible for everyone (e.g. due to a limited departmental budget), we’ve come up with a solution. We offer two types of sustainable dissertations: Deluxe Grasspaper, and Deluxe Vegan.
For all theses, we take into account the choice of paper and glue as well as plastic-free covers and eco-friendly design. As the icing on the cake, GreenThesis plants one tree for each copy of your thesis.

For extra sustainability, you can choose our Deluxe PhD thesis, which in addition to the Premium features, is plastic-free.
- Sustainable or even Circular Paper (grass paper or other deluxe custom papers)
- Laminate-free covers (no plastic)
- Free use of the GreenThesis logo in your PhD thesis
- Optional use of certification logos (FSC and/or Blaue Engel)
- 1 tree planted per copy of your PhD thesis
Deluxe Vegan
For extra sustainability & animal-friendliness, we offer the Deluxe Vegan option. A vegan PhD thesis includes all of the Deluxe features but is also 100% vegan.
- Sustainable Vegan Paper (100% recycled vegan paper)
- Vegan printing inks, glues, and other materials and of course Vegan Design. Use of these materials will be mentioned in the colophon.
- Laminate-free covers (no plastic)

Whether you choose a deluxe paper or vegan printing ink depends on your budget. But whatever you choose, you will receive a beautiful Green Thesis!
